These are most of the shadows (not ltd edition ones) that I picked up at the CCO last month. I wanted to swatch them here because I just spotted Goldenrod (the matte yellow) in the goodbyes section on the MAC site so if it’s a colour you fancy you might need to get a move on! So here is Goldenrod. It’s a bright yellow with a touch of orange in it. Matte yellows are notoriously difficult to get right but this is a good attempt. You need a good base under it though to stop it looking patchy.
Next is Lucky Green. This is shimmery and so goes on a little smoother. It has a bit of yellow in it and pairs very well with Goldenrod. I’m looking forward to using them together more when summer rolls around.
Then we have Sushi Flower which is a vibrant satin pink. It’s quite warm which I like as it makes a change from the cool frosty pinks I’m used to seeing.
Finally we have Beautiful Iris which is pretty darn beautiful. It’s a shame it doesn’t show up well in the swatch as it really does go on beautiful. It’s a light pale purple with a gorgeous violet sheen, by far one of my favourite MAC shadows.
All are swatched on bare skin with no primer.
Is anyone else started to branch out into some brights in anticipation of spring? X
