Mac Blush Ombre in Azalea Blossom

Well it's April Fools and i'll be the first to admit that before i'd had my coffee this morning I was caught out by a few things. I hate this day... On to more sensible things like ... erm... blush.

Am I the only person who had to point at the blush and say ‘that one please’ because I couldn’t bear to admit to the sales girl that I’m not sure how I should be pronouncing ombre? Regardless of my idiocy I am hugely pleased to have gotten my paws on this little beauty. It sold out online last week much to my disappointment and I’ve spotted some silly prices being paid on EBay.

But is it worth the hype? At almost £20 I should hope so. One thing that convinced me to buy this blush is the myriad of reviews I’ve seen of ladies of various skin tones and colours all looking gorgeous in this blush. It really does seem to be a user friendly shade. I do find when swirling my brush around to mix the colour I have to keep more to the pink side to get the right tone for me so it won’t wear evenly. The ombre range of blushes are supposed to be limited edition but given how popular they have been I wouldn’t be surprised if they get reintroduced at some point. I do like the texture and it blends like a dream. The colour is buildable from a subtle glow to a statement pink. The swatches below show the pink side on its own, the whole pan mixed and the purple side on its own.
