Weight Control without Dieting

The best thing you can do to delay aging is to keep your body weight at a constant, normal level. Since the United States in undergoing an obesity epidemic right now, this doesn’t bode well for the future, at least from an anti-aging nutrition standpoint.



There are many diets available, most of which work quite well if you stick to them. But that is usually the problem with diets. Long term maintenance is very difficult because restrictive diets are unnatural; they limit foods that are deemed bad for you.



But at some point, you will need to off the restrictive diet and adhere to a more balanced eating plan for the rest of your life.



That is why it is so important to learn how to eat healthy without dieting. Eating healthy isn’t hard because it does not require you to give up any food or drink.


You just have to learn portion control and always remember the golden rule: “Everything in Moderation.”



One or two glasses of wine, a thick steak or an ice cream sundae are all things you can enjoy if you remember the golden rule.



Diets like the Mediterranean or Sonoma are quite popular for this very reason. Researchers have found that Europeans eat a diet much richer in fat and calories than would be considered healthy. But they have less incidence of obesity, mainly because they eat smaller portions and savor their food more.
