It's the Weekend...

...wouldn't it be fun to escape to Rome for the weekend?

I am reading Eat. Pray. Love. and have just completed the Roman Holiday part, now on to India... Looking forward to the movie! If you would like to view the trailer, check it out here.

I have nothing super exciting planned for my weekend, what about you? Would love to hear what you are doing and perhaps get inspired!

By the way, I read this post this morning, and it got me thinking I should check out a few antique stores... hmmm...

Have a fun weekend, what ever you choose to do! :)

I spy....

... soft linen colored pillar candles!

While out shopping for knobs for our new kitchen, I came upon this color candle. Normally I go for white candles, or a soft blue-ish green (Cucumber sent) from Restoration Hardware.

The above image is from French Essence, by Vicki Archer. I just loved the book, and I am so inspired (read; jealous) of her beautiful life in St. Remy-de-Provence!

And guess what? I was (and I still am!!!) super excited when Vicki Archer left a comment on my tiny little blog! How super cool is that?? I aspire to be as well written, as she is.
If you are not familiar with her books, you should be! ;)
If you can not get your hand on them, check out her fantastic blog here!

Can't wait to light my new candles!

It's here!!

… I have been waiting for the new "French Essence" book!

After finishing my studies, and for a long time not being able to read anything other than research, my first book was “My French Life” by Vicki Archer.

I was captivated, as so many of you have been, by her wonderful stories of France.
How exciting for her to be able to live out her dream in Saint-Remy-de-Provence! I loved getting lost in her book; restoring a 400 year old farmhouse, the gardens, life. If you have not yet read this book; RUN to get it, it will be so worth your while, I promise!

Today Vicki’s new book arrived, I have just peeked at the pictures one quick time, I can hardly wait to dive in….. So, as it rains outside, I will light a few candles (follow my own advice from the last post), curl up and get lost in the Essence of France.

Natasha

PS. P&N you will both love this book!
