A few beauty tools
All of the above I use on a regular basis - daily some, weekly others - clockwise from bottom left.
Aveda Paddle Brush - I have probably had this for as long as my daughter is old ie more than 15yrs, it has coped with being dropped and submerged in the bath (hence the crack) and has coped with my hair from jaw length to waist length, wet and dry.
Shu Uemura and Shiseido eyelash curlers - I can get a bit obsessed in my research to find the best of something and was happy with my Shu when I read somewhere that Shiseido was more suited to a rounder eye, or was that the Shu, either way I did actually take some close up photos and measurements, but there really is little in it, both are great.
Alida Foot File - I saved up and bought the Diamancel Foot File and was happy with that for years until I tried this, fraction of the price, easy to use, when I remember.
An old clean mascara wand - I need this for my brows, they are not particularly unruly but an old clean mascara wand does the job far more effectively than any makeup brush supposedly designed for the job.
Leighton Denny Crystal Nail Files - I have purchased many nail files but these are the best, I can saw back and forth without any splitting of my nails.
Shavata Double Sharpener - or any double sharpener designed for makeup, because frankly I have spent too many times ruining makeup pencils by trying to sharpen with knives or worse ordinary sharpeners.
Rubis Tweezers - I have tried many tweezer brands, from Tweezerman to Shavata, but none has worked as efficiently as Rubis. They grip the smallest of hairs.
Rubis Nail Scissors - I can cut the nails of my right hand with my left hand (ie I can my can cut my nails with my non dominant hand) end of.
Laura Mercier Velour Puff - Small and neat, this means that when I do use loose powder I can roll and press it into the crevices of my face which means that it lasts longer.
