Peaceful Monday

Truthfully... I could have stayed in bed today!

And had my bedroom been this light and dreamy, well, then it would have been even harder to resist :) Notice all the different textures! An all white room need not be boring, and white is not just one shade, but you knew that, right?

Keeping your clothes out on display could be a good idea, but it does require a certain restraint and organization!! I can tell you this from experience.... my clothes rack looks nothing like this.

I have always been a sucker for a checkerboard kitchen floor, and this is no exception!
In fact, I think I like it even more in this color way, very soft!

Nothing really matches, and that's part of the charm, I think....
Tolix chairs are an all time favorite, I would love to own a few!

The only spot in the house with a pop of "real" color. So easy to change the pillow covers and other accessories, depending on mood and season. Did you notice the subtle wallpaper? White on white done right!!

Hope you have a lovely week ahead of you!

Natural sparkle

To continue my "sparkle post" from Monday, I am sharing two images with you of natures sparkle....

Raw Amethyst lamp base (Matthew Studio), looking very dramatic.
Great color in an otherwise dark setting.... notice the title of the book ;)
Details, details, it's all in the details! Even the leaf and the background support the natural "theme".

Another example of amethyst rock crystal. I suspect the stone to the bottom right might actually be for a tea light, but I love how it's used here, to hold jewelery.
Trays are so big, look how two trays are layered here, very unobtrusive, just a little sparkle....

Go dig out that tray you hardly ever use, shine it up, find a few items you love and place it on your night table, or dresser. You will be happy looking at your pretty display every time you go to bed! And imagine; getting up in the morning will be a beautiful experience!

My advise; stick with a theme.
Could be color, could be feel (i.e. natural), could be anything that you think goes together!

Peaceful living

I figured I would share this lovely patio with you, and two more gorgeous lanterns.

I just love how this patio is decorated as part of a room, makes you want to spend more time outside, even if you are in the middle of the city; in this case, a roof top terrace in Stockholm, Sweden.

Hope you have a really wonderful day!

Peaceful living

Working in the fast paced, ever changing world of fashion, I am being bombarded with the constantly changing world of colors, fabrics, prints....

When I come home, I would like a calm space, and this apartment in Stockholm, Sweden answers that prayer for me, however, it's a little far to travel for peace and tranquility ;)

Take a look at that small balcony, right off the kitchen, would love to have my morning coffee here!

I have just finished painting the interiors of my own house the palest of pale grey, and all trim work in high gloss bright white. It is all coming together beautifully, and soon my little part of the world will be a cool and calm oasis.....I hope!!

The image below has nothing to do with the apartment above, but I think it's so pretty, works well with the "theme", so I figured I would share it with you.

Remember to enjoy your outdoor space, however small.....
