Checking in...

Hi all,
just back from vacation, had a wonderful time!!!!

This will be a quick post, as I have a long week ahead of me, but just wanted to check in and say Thank You for all your comments, and kind wishes, during my vacation!

Nothing like a little vacation to get the creative juices flowing...
So..... I have a lot of "stuff" planned!

Stay tuned!

Picture Perfect

Hi again, sorry for the silence.....

Thank you, to all of you who have been stopping by, I encourage you to leave me a comment, any language will do, they totally make my day!!!

I am sharing this image from Day, Birger & Mikkelsen with you, I have had it in my files for a while. I think the reason I have been hanging on to it, are the colors.... And looking a little closer I just realised I have the small silver box next to the shell necklace! You can just make out that it's a face, right? Actually, I purchased this "silver" box and also one in black. Originally I had intended to give one away to a friend of mine, but just could not split them up, once I got them back home.....

Have a wonderful week!

Pillow Talk

I came across this beautiful bedroom this morning, on my morning blog-tour....
What first grabbed my attention was the soothing colors, then after further studying the image, I noticed that the wallpaper and pillow fabric (by Nina Cambell) is the same. I love that the headboard fabric is a bit more satuated. The gourd style lamp base is also in the color family, as well as the floor covering. The styling is impeccable, notice the back of the books in the nightstand! Pillow fabric and wallpaper available here

Would you cover the walls and the bedding in the same fabric? A little much, or?
To me... it's just perfect, especially because it has been broken up by all the white, as well as the natural wood.

Sample Sale

So, I mentioned Madeline Weinrib in a post recently, and guess what came in the mail?

A postcard with an invitation to a sample sale! YEAH! Of cause I did not really expect to buy anything, but it does not cost anything to look, right? Right??

Well.......... I found the perfect runner, marked down a thousand percent, I am so happy I went.
Turns out it was a custom colored runner for someone (who wasn't happy with it, I take) so now it ended up with me!

It is the same Greek key pattern as above, only the colors are different. Since it was custom colored, I have been unable to locate an image..... The key motif is white and the body is turquoise-y, on the green side, perfect for my house!
