Mascara is one of those funny products that a lot of us can’t justify spending a lot of money on. It goes off quickly and there are so many fab drugstore mascaras out there for less than a tenner so I just can’t justify spending as much on mascaras as I can when it comes to other longer lasting cosmetic items. With high street heroes like Rimmel Sexy Curves down to £5.99 in Superdrug at the moment why would you want to spend more?
This mascara ticks all the boxes for me. It lengthens my lashes, keeps a curl in place better than many other mascaras I’ve tried and no matter how cack handed I am with the application it doesn’t clump on me. I don’t know how the weird bobbly wand works but it does. The end bobble is great for getting into the corners and wiggling onto your bottom lashes. It doesn’t flake or run. I walked home in the rain the other day then promptly got in a hot bath for an hour and it was still clinging onto my lashes for dear life. The packaging is great too! The pic doesn’t show it well but it’s a metallic purple that really stands out on my makeup bag. No I don’t work for Rimmel, I just love this mascara.
If you are looking for a volumising/ false lash effect mascara then this isn’t for you. I didn’t notice any dramatic thickening of my lashes but that’s not what I want from a mascara. In case you’re wondering, yes. I will most defiantly be buying this mascara again.
