While many people all over the world are enjoying the few extra days off after Christmas, I am back at work.... but it's OK :) !

Please stay warm, especially if you are snowed in, as so many of you are this time around!
It's super cold even in Florida, if that's any consolation??

Hi All, Happy Monday!

Starting the week with the light filled room, designed by Katie Fine Design. What appeals to me, besides the light streaming in from the windows, are the pops of fresh color; be it flowers, plants or simply a throw!
Also... the mix of styles and period pieces keep the eye moving around the room! Speaking of "moving", the large black & white photograph has a lot of movement, without taking away from the rest of the room. Keeping the artwork simple leaves the focus on the grouping rather than a loud painting....

So, all I want to say with this image is;

I love the Not-to-Serious vibe; m&m's, candy colored ping pong balls and bats... this looks like a fun party! I will be attending an 80th birthday party next Saturday... it's a pool party!
Hmmmm, not exactly sure what to think about that, but I will show up, just so I can let you all know what happened... ;)

Ohhhhh, how I totally did not want to get out of bed today!! I was hoping the weekend could last a little longer, if not a few hours more.... and if only my bedroom only looked this good and pulled together...

I L.O.V.E the color of the upholstered bed and the duvet cover is fantastic! A little traditional, but it's really a nice mix I think, you? And you can't beat the fresh flowers on the nightstand. Notice how the edge of the skirt on the nightstand picks up the teal color in the headboard and also makes the accent in the duvet pop!

Starting the week off on a clean slate and what is prettier than soft white roses!!
Love how the little silver bud vase shimmers.

 
Wouldn't these small bouquets make a fine "runner" down a table? All those pale greens and soft whites...
Let me tell you a little secret; though it doesn't appear so, these are not natural flowers! Can you believe how real the look?? I am a big lover of fresh flowers, but if you are not lucky enough to have a garden to cut from, it can get really expensive :).

Would you let silk flowers in your house if they looked this good??
