... Nope, not 1001 Nights Dream, that's not where I am going with this post :), one thousand and one books, perhaps!?

Look at this great reading nook! The ticking on the cushions and the bolster, the fresh soft-pink roses, the large soft pillow, perfect reading light.... Spending a cozy afternoon here would be alright with me!

At Lonny Magazine, this image is tagged as an office......    hmmmm, I don't think I would get a thing done, at least not for a while! On the other hand; how inspiring, every thing at your finger tips!

Elegant Upgrade!

Hey, if you don't know already, the new Lonny Magazine went live today!!!

I have just had a quick moment to "thumb" through, but looking forward to spending some time reading the issue from front cover to back cover!!!!

Immediately I am drawn to the Elegant Upgrade feature, but seeing Vicente Wolf's Montauk house, takes me right back to my recent vacation in New England.
How about a trip to London, Rachel Ashwell's apartment is a gem, love her new book by the way! It's nice to see her doing well again, I am sure that took a lot of hard work!!

Dive in, I know you wont be disappointed, the Lonny Team does it again....

Soft spot of the day...

Isn't this a cozy spot to sleep? And pretty too! Just because you don't have a lot of space, doesn't mean you can't make it pretty and inviting!!

I am sorry for the lack of daily posts, I have been in a bit of a slump, so a little time away "form the world" has been in order... Hope you will hang in there with me :)

New on the virtual newsstand.

While the rest of you probably already read the new Lonny Magazine, I just now had a little time to fan through. I am looking forward to getting lost in the travel section and Ruthie Summers home.. I can't wait to really dive in!

I am having some slight computer problems, which will explain my absence this past week, but hopefully I will be up and running in no time.... (this post via a friends computer, TX)

Having to work Saturday, no biggie, but soooo looking forward to Sunday. Promised Mr. Wonderful to clean, de-clutter and organize the office...

It's the weekend...

... and I just received a teaser email from Lonny magazine!

Oh, how I wish the issue was out already, so I could really dive in this weekend.... I guess I will just have to sit tight ;)

Outdoor entertaining;

Well, here in Florida it was 96 degrees F yesterday, so that idea goes straight out the window (will have to save for the cooler months)!

Sell that house;

Are you kidding me? I just lived thru a kitchen renovation, and a Library wall installation, I am not going anywhere..... But there is always dreaming! (I am dreaming of a clean office and bedroom, now that things are, for the most part, in order downstairs...)

Summer at last;

OH YES!!! Not only is it super hot and humid, but I can't wait to go to the beach, have not been there for 117 years, which is really sad, considering people come from all over the world to enjoy what I live only 10 minutes from..... shame on me.

New on the virtual newsstand...

... the new Lonny issue is live, as I am sure you know?!

I particularly liked the idea of Michelle's virtual Editors Letter, fun and new, at least to me :)
Check out how well the new Lonny Office has been done up, looks like a very inspiring place to work! BUT ultimately this little vignette won out as the image to post...

Enjoy reading the new issue, I went through it last night, and will probably return today, as there were so many inspiring articles to read!

It's funny...

It's funny how one image can bring back memories!

I recently came across this bedroom, designed by John Robshaw, while looking through the Lonny website. What first drew me in was the navy, white and chocolate pillow cover, a very interesting and classic combo, but what really got me was the stool!

I remember growing up with a house full of these, or at least that's what I think I remember, there may actually just have been two... :) I remember one in the bathroom, and one or more in a bed room...
Haven't seen them since & just happened to stumble upon one over at "Lonny's house"!
