Tenth Holiday Post.

Setting the table is always fun! Use the old with the new and lots of candles! Use glass and reflective surfaces to really make the table sparkle.... This table scape totally reminds me of how my mother would use natural elements, mixed in with the china! Hi P!

How are you planning to set the table? Lots of glitz? Natural? Festive colors? Neutrals?

Gold...

Inspired by the images in this book, I went searching for more confetti images and found these.... While I'm not a gold person, I just love the festive vibe of these two pieces!!

Would be fun to use for a cocktail party, perhaps serve hot glogg (spiced warm port or red wine) in the mug!

Polka dots and confetti... who can resist?

Meet the New Girls In Town

Have you heard?

Yet another on-line magazine has come to town!

I encourage you to meet Ivy & Piper, and explore their new venture. Many contributors to the blog world have been featured in this magazine. You can meet Louise, Belinda, Vanessa, Tina and Kimberlee and to be able to see how the stars of the blog world live, well, lets just say I always find it fascinating to have "a look behind the scenes"...

The master of beautiful, colorful and cheerful table top displays, Anna, weigh in with an article on "The art of Arranging", supported by some gorgeous images, take a peek ;)!

Hope you had a great weekend!!

Setting the table

Lately my eyes have been drawn to table top settings.....
Perhaps the upcoming holiday season, who knows.

I thought I would continue yesterdays yellow trend, as this is a new holiday color for me! These pretty salad plates and bowls can be found here.

Do you set the holiday table the same each year? Do you mix it up? How about color? Do tell!!!

It's (still) the Weekend...

.. at least for a few more hours!

Had a few quiet days; Visiting the local antique stores, made it home with a few really cool items (I'll share later), perfect for the upcoming holiday season. Stopped at the market, and baked a wonderful Pumpkin Bread! I was inspired by Trina this week!

Been looking for bedroom inspiration...
rumor has it our bedside tables are arriving next week ! Yeah!!

Hope you had a great weekend, too!!

It's the Weekend...

... and I am still on vacation! Yeah!!

Don't really have any plans, Just a weekend with long walks, quiet time, family time and a little computer time. I have been going through a lot of Danish magazines, I have come across a lot of interesting people, products and fall fashion. I am absorbing it all and eventually some will make it to these pages, so stay tuned :) !

What's on your schedule this weekend?

Image found while reading a blog the other day, I didn't write down the name - sorry - but I believe the image was originally from Elle Decor. Any info?

Spending time...

The exciting thing that happened today, you ask?
Well, for the first time in a week we were able to have one of our meals outside!!!
This is a huge deal, since the weather has not exactly been cooperating while we have been vacationing.... Sooo, we were spending time around the new outdoor dining area ;)  There were new chairs, like the ones above, they looked really GREAT, and were super comfy!
Spent the day with Mr. Wonderful at my sisters house, visiting with the clan; Hi All! Thank you for a wonderful meal and a fun time!!

Hope your weekend was fun and interesting!?

Dinner with friends.

TGIF!!!

Tonight we are having dinner with friends at a new restaurant in town; Organic food, locally grown veggies and locally caught fish. Looking forward to the experience, I am sure it will be really yummy :)

This weekend is the last weekend before VACATION time starts... It's not going to be here fast enough for me, only 9 more days before we leave hot and steamy Florida!
Let the countdown begin :)

Where did the weekend go?

... what happened to the weekend?

I feel like this last week was so rushed, had time for nothing, and now it's already Tuesday...

Guess what happened to me on Thursday evening? Hit and run! Yes, that's right, some STUPID LADY person hit my car from behind, and TOOK OFF! Yep, she took off, can you believe that?? Karma, that's all I have to say about that! I'm OK, the truck will need a new bumper and she will get what's coming to her, right? Right??

Saturday evening Mr. Wonderful and I were invited to a dinner party, Italian themed food (very light and summery, it was great!) and I brought the best Tieramisu.... if I must say so myself :)

Spent Monday with a client and my sidekick (hi C!) selecting fabrics for a ton of pillows, an ottoman and dining room chairs. Looking forward to seeing it all come together!!!

So it's been busy, didn't have much time to relax, did manage to have a pedicure though...
A girl's got to do what a girl's got to do!!

Have a fun week!

Setting the table

Love the colors, love the rustic table, love the two colors chosen for the tapers, love the natural easy looking florals, love the chairs (my parents have a couple of these Mogens Koch chairs...), love the simple light fixture...

All done up by non other that Gwyneth Paltrow and first spotted here. Oh, and by the way, she has just released a new cook book; My Fathers Daughter. I did see it at the book store the other day, but didn't have time to read it. Any of you had a chance to work with it??
