Top Ten Make-up Tips for Ageless Beauty – the Final Five

[You’ll find my first five picks in Saturday’s post.]

6. Lancome - Photogenic Skin Illuminating MakeUp – for those who crave trompe l’oeil light-reflective particles to camouflage wrinkles. It contains antioxidants (Ginkgo, Ginseng and Vitamin C)) but no anti-aging peptides as do my other two foundation picks.

7. Lash Maxxx Mascara by Rimmel - You’ll probably be surprised that I am not listing Maybelline Great Lash like every makeup artist and model for over the last 50 years. Why? Lashes weakened by time cannot be scrubbed and rubbed every night to remove such long-lasting, smudge-resistant mascara. Lash Maxxx is just the best and it’s a great value. It goes on easily but is easy to remove as well. It lengthens, yet doesn’t clump or smudge.

8. L’Oreal HIP Cream Shadow Paint - HIP stands for High Intensity Pigment, so a little goes a long way, making this a great value. The shadow is long-lasting and crease-resistant.

9. L'Oreal Feel Naturale Light Softening Powder Blush - Blush is the only powdered product I ever use anymore. With dry mature skin, creams and liquids tend to go on and blend better. However, this powder put on right after my liquid foundation blends beautifully. It seems to mix right into the foundation giving me a flawless youthful glow.

10. Clinique Quickliner for Eyes – This eyeliner is soft enough to go on without tugging on the delicate skin around the eye. It can be smudged to soften the line; but once it has set, it doesn’t streak or smear – even if you have an itch that demands scratching!

New makeup products are introduced every day. So this is a dynamic list and I welcome reader input. Please, if you know of something better – especially for us “Age Warriors” – drop me a line.
