Anti-Aging Hormones

Hormones have been controversial for years. Starting with Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for post-menopausal women, hormones have been linked to an increase in heart disease and cancer.



However, for years celebrities have have been going to spas in places like Switzerland to get mysterious injections they claimed kept them young looking and vigorous. Whether these shots, which were likely hormones, were responsible for their continuing good looks, or whether plastic surgery and good make-up was the reason, the celebrities had started a trend.



Now Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is being touted as the latest and greatest antiaging hormone. But,to be effective, HGH must be injected periodically and the patient must be monitored for potential side effects. It is also quite expensive, costing about $30,000 a year.



There are HGH sprays and pills, but their effectiveness is in doubt.
