More is Not Necessarily Better

I've notice on your website and several others that Neova products contain the highest level of copper peptide, but Dr. Loren Pickart also claims to have the highest level in his products, and supposedly holds the patent. Can you please tell me who actually has the highest level? I'm interested in trying it. Thanks.

Amy

I have the highest regard for Dr. Loren Pickart and his work. I see that he has introduced several new higher potency copper peptide skin products. It’s not surprising. There is good reason why his work runs very parallel to that of Neova, which is made by a much larger company.

They have a common history. You can read about it in my article, All You Ever Wanted to Know about Copper Peptide Products.

As to whose products contain the highest level of copper peptide, one would need to place two products side by side (night cream vs. night cream, eye cream vs. eye cream) to compare. I’ve done one such direct comparison: ProCyte’s Neova vs. Skin Biology’s Protect and Restore with Natural Sun Protection.

But even then, the more relevant issue would be the total ingredient “cocktail” of each. Peptide research results are generally based on a specific concentration; so upping the concentration in a product may not have good science behind it. Just as important are the other ingredients: the penetration enhancers, the preservatives, and any ingredients that have been shown to work synergistically with each other.
