NYC Translucent Loose Face Powder

It’s a rare day that I finish a makeup item. The makeup collection is growing so hitting pan doesn’t happen often. One of the few items I do use up on a regular basis is finishing powder. I use it several times a day (thank you oily nose) hence me picking up this little bargain for only £2.59 (Superdrug) during a particularly tight patch last month.


This is what it says on the tin. A translucent powder with which to set your makeup. It doesn’t do anything fancy, no HD pore wizardry here. I couldn’t tell you how it performs during my regular top ups throughout the day as the packaging is wholly unsuited to travel. The lid doesn’t screw on and the sifter is prone to letting a bit too much in if you shake it up. I only use it first thing in the morning and it keeps my makeup in place and shine free till lunch.

Would I repurchase? Well there are better powders out there. And I think I prefer a pressed powder to lose as it’s more portable. That being said if you’re on a budget this will do the job. It’s a no fuss, no frills option. And I like it. Ttfn x
