Blogger Interview - Featuring Elle from Beauty and Rambling with Elle

Another Monday and another fab blogger who has volunteered to take part in my blogger interview series. This week we have the lovely Elle from Beauty and Rambling with Elle in the hot seat.

    *  Quick fire question – tell us something you love about blogging and something you’re not too crazy about!

I love blogging because the energy is just so positive! It's a total outlet for me and I think it's amazing to get in contact with other girls, and boys of course, who love beauty. What I also love is that you get in contact with people from all over the world! I love how you can read about a product that you are intrested in or that you have even never heard of before!

Something I'm not to crazy about... with blogging not really anything. It really is your own place with what you can do anything you want! I am also on youtube and it really feels like there is so much negativity there lately. That really puts me off.

·         * Why beauty/ makeup? What made you decide you wanted to blog about it?
I know it is the standard answer and everybody says it, but I love how make up and completly transform the way you view yourself. Make up gives me more confidence and makes me feel like, well more like myself! Make up is great because it enhances what's already there.

The reason why I started blogging is because I already read and followed so many blogs. At one point I was like, why am I not doing this? I like to write and love beauty. So I just started my blog and it has been up since November. This month I made a goal for myself to blog everyday for a month. So far so good!

·         * You have 5 minutes before you have to leave the house. What items do you throw on?
Ah! One of my worst nightmares. I love to take my time in the morning to sit down and just play around with my make up. But if I really one had 5 minutes it would throw on my foundation, powder, mascara and a lipgloss. Think my time would be up by then, I really take the time to make sure my foundation is nicely blended. I want don't people to go "Jeez, what the hell did she put on her face?" haha ;)

·        *  Are there any brands that aren’t available in your country that you would love to try? What ‘local’ brands do you think everyone should have a chance to try?
Well I live in the Netherlands and I do think we are blessed with a lot of good brands, however all the make up at the drugstore is downsized a lot! Maybelline, L'oreal, Max Factor, Bourjois and Rimmel. When I went to the USA for the first time I was shocked at how much bigger the standard collections were! Same with higher ends brands with for instance Clinique, I love the Even Better foundation. but they don't sell the 3 lightest shades here and since I am as pale as a ghost I really do need the lightest shade.

Brands that I miss that we just don't have are: Nars, Tarte, Stila, Illamasqua, Revlon, Dolce and Gabanna, Armani, Tom Ford, NYX, Elf Covergirl and Almay. I am very happy to go to Paris in two weeks! Then I can finally get my hands on some Nars things!

I know you can get most of these brands online.. but I don't really like it when you are not familiar with a brand and have to buy things online! You never know what you may end up with haha ;)
Anyone should have a chance to try some Catrice make up! It's actually a German brand but also sold all around the Netherlands. All the products are a total steal and have great quality!

·        *  What entices you to follow a new blog? What puts you off?
When someone is witty and has good pictures it really entices me to follow. I don't tend to follow a blog when someone doesn't post very often.

Think I rambled enough for now! Hope you liked it! Thanks to Claire for letting me be apart of it and hope you that the time to check out my blog! Love, Elle

Thanks again for taking part Elle! You're the second blogger to mention Catrice  makeup. It's such a shame it isn't available in the UK! x
