Today marks the launch of a column which I’m very excited about. It was Cyndi Lavin’s idea – a weekly roundup of links to other blogs which talk about good healthy food. This will provide access to a broader range of information for all of our readers.
Since I blog for Ageless Beauty every other day, I will publish my Foodie Bloggers Roundup on Sunday or Monday.
Please meet some of my food-freak-friends. We love to prepare good healthy food for our families … and we loooove to eat it!
This week:
Cyndi at Busy Family Meals shares a delicious quick one-pan recipe for Baked Fresh Trout (or fish of your choice). I’m a fan of baked fish because I don’t like the messy spatter or oily smell of pan-frying. If you use butter-flavored spray or a butter substitute, this dish is even very heart-healthy. If you use Cyndi’s recipe, please leave her a comment. I did!
Sandy at the All Holiday Café (Don’t you just love the blog title?) shows how to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a festive - and tasty - dip depicting the Mexican flag. This is so cool for me because I’m in Mexico as I write this blog, listening to the “cohetes” (noisy fireworks or bottle rockets) going off every few minutes.
Jean (that’s me!) gives some delicious tips to Incorporate More Fiber and Whole Grains into Your Diet.
When Mary Emma, at Quilting & Patchwork, wrote about the square dancing and quilting bees of her youth, she also thought of recipes served on these occasions. Her Quilting Bee Food Reminiscences brought to mind favorite foods of my childhood too.
Gee wouldn’t that be fun to blog about and maybe even update our childhood family favorites for what we now know about healthful eating? What do you say girls?
