I’ve had the shade Prenup for months, use it at least once a week and yet it barely has a dent in it. The formula is just perfect for lazy work mornings as I just throw it on (without a primer) and it stays put all day and looks fab with no effort. Given how much value for money I’m getting from Prenup I felt fully justified in buying another shade. Enter the cult classic; Skinny Jeans.
Benefit call it a ‘Pretty Pewter’. I’d call it a shimmery taupe with green undertones. It’s a lovely work appropriate shade or even a lovely base for a smokey look. As with Prenup I don’t need to use a primer with this although you might if you have oily lids. I prefer to apply these with my ring finger and just smudge it all over the lid before blending out the edges with a clean finger tip. These are fairly pigmented so work well by themselves.
You get 4.5g in a lovely little glass pot which will last you forever. I’m curious, has anyone ever finished one of these? I’d love to know how long it took! The Benefit packaging is a bit like Marmite. Some people love the kitsch feel whilst others find it gag worthy. Personally I can take it or leave it.
My gripe with most Benefit products is the price. £23.50 for a blush? Yikes! I do believe though that the Creaseless creams are quite fairly priced though. They do what no other cream eyeshadow has ever managed on me. They last and they don’t need primer or powder to keep them put. I’d pay £14 for a powder shadow that works as well and given that I don’t think I’ll ever see the bottom of a pot £14 actually seems like quite good value to me. Thoughts? X
