I’ve finished my research on Tripeptides (at least for now – it’s an ongoing quest). The bad news is that, according to Cosmetics Design News, “As it is a technically advanced ingredient it is consequently fairly expensive and invariably ends up being formulated in products that are aimed at the premium end of the market.”
The good news is that Tripeptides have shown pretty amazing skin age-reversing properties. We’re talking incredible increases in Collagen I, III and IV synthesis, as well as anticollagenase action to practically stop collagen-eating enzymes in their tracks. Finally, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 even makes Collagen fibers stand up straight and behave themselves as they do in young skin.
