[This is the conclusion to my answer to Nicole’s note (posted last Thursday).]
Now I understand why your dermatologist didn't recommend something stronger to treat acne. You are blessed with oily skin that’s doesn’t break out!
I speak from experience when I tell you that dry skin ages much faster than oily. As long as you're happy with your oil control regimen and the blotting papers, stick with them.
If you would like to try exfoliation again but with a gentler product than Retin A, I recommend Avon Clinical Advanced Wrinkle Corrector. It uses AHAs, BHAs and fruit extracts for exfoliation and comes in a light silky feeling base. I love the feel of it.
I am working on updating my two top ten lists. Based on customer feedback and more recent research, I will likely move Kinerase up the list. If you try one of the Kinerase products, please let me know what you think.
P.S. I just read about a primer for oily skin. It promises to make your foundation last hours longer without shine. You might want to try Lumene Beauty Base available at CVS. Perhaps you can ditch those blotting papers!
