Last Friday I posted a blog entry on whether it is safe to order your antiaging products online and how to evaluate a company that’s new to you. A reader posted a comment regarding an online company she had just discovered, Anna Bellina, which sounded very interesting.
In part she said, “They mix their own and list almost every ingredient for skincare there is. They also mention they have a ‘broth’ similar to Crème de la Mer. From their home page, I clicked on ‘lines’ on the left hand side, and then on Patricia's Selection for skin over 40. It all looks pretty interesting and thought you might want to check it out.”
I did check out Anna Bellina and what I found was very intriguing. The description of ingredients used is wonderful; and references to the antiaging work of Dr. Nicholas Perricone and Dr. Loren Pickart lend credibility to the site.
But lurking behind the marketing pages, I found some real land mines. Read my impression of Anna Bellina, the company and its products, here.
I order online all the time myself, but I do use caution. I am very comfortable ordering from big online merchants like Amazon, Drugstore.com, Beauty.com, Skinstore.com and Strawberry.net.
All others require scrutiny. I’ll take a pass on Anna Bellina
